Aging individuals and others with disabilities often are physically and/or cognitively impaired thereby creating a risk to the public because of their physical and/or cognitive limitations.
In this interesting and informative video, Fredrick P. Niemann, Esq. of Hanlon, Niemann and Wright, a New Jersey Special Needs and Disability Law Attorney discusses a recent case in which an injured driver sued treating physicians for failure to report the driver’s impairments to the New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles. The outcome of this case is instructive to all professionals, Guardians and Powers of Attorney who treat persons with disabilities or advancing age prior to an unfortunate incident which injures and/or kills an innocent individual.
