Remember Casey Kasem and his nationwide radio show called American Top 40 which aired in the 70’s and 80’s? What many people don’t realize is that toward the end of his life, Casey was incapacitated with Alzheimers/Dementia. He was bedridden and no longer had his voice. He had been previously married and his children were being deprived of visitation with their father.
This video discusses the importance of having a Power of Attorney in place to address visitation rights of children and persons important in the life of a person to avoid having to file a legal proceeding to compel or defend visitation.
In these times of increasing intrafamily turmoil, conflicted relationships (particularly in second marriages), this video is a must watch for individuals who want to avoid the outcome of Casey Kasem.
